In Pirates of the Caribbean, the flag flown on the Dauntless and the Interceptor are the Blue ensign, thus the ships blong to the blue squadron.

In the 19th century the whole system of blue, white and red squadron was abolished.
Nowadays the distinction is as follows:

Blue - Public Service like the Coastguard or the Trinity House

White - The Royal British Navy

Red - The Merchant Navy
